We met today at Orly's lovely home for a day of art journaling. There was a lot of reflecting on our journeys as artists & sharing where we came from, & our process. I've learned as much from the members of Orly's Art Journaling Lab as I have in the class. I have so much respect for each of them. We will not be meeting weekly any longer, we will come together for special occasions. We shared a lot of laughs and smiles.
Orly and I and our art journals. I have so much respect for Orly. She challenges me to expand beyond my comfort zone and work more organically. She's helped me to find the courage to believe in my own creative process my own worth as an artist. Orly was my inspiration for going to this bigger journal (it is an 11.5 x 17.5 Moleskine) and I love each and every page. These are one of my favorite spreads from Orly's and my journals.
Here I am with my WIP(work in progress) I'll show this page when it's finished soon. Have a wonderful creative weekend.

I love the look of your WIP ...can't wait to see the finished article ... ...looks like you had an amazing day with your fellow artists
Looks like a great creative day--love your journal pages!
I never thought of creating an oversized journal like the one you are pictured with. Love the background shades of brown. Will be waiting for the finished product!
WOW! Brian, your journal is wonderful! I absolutely love the larger size - I may have to try that myself as I've often found smaller pages confining, then I don't do anything. Hmmm....
It's all very beautiful work... and looks like a very good time... I can't wait to see the finished WIP!
Such wonderful pictures you took of us, happy people with happy journals. Thanks for giving us a 'picture' of how awesome we and our journals are!!! (:
I cannot wait to see what emerges from the nostalgic world you have created here. Thanks for the kind words Mr. Brian. DITTO all the way!

Beautiful and more beautiful ... all of your shining faces and gorgeous journals. Big. Bold. Inspiring!!
OOOh I'm loving your over-sized journal. And so nice to see pics of you too and put a face to name :-) Kate
First, I loved seeing you!!!!
What a blast that must have been.
I love your journal pages, and the size of your journal.
I have been working in a large journal off and on and am enjoying it!!!
Just love how you are progressing beyond belief in your journalling. The thought of a large journal is frightening to me, but you have made a great job. Look forward to seeing the finished result.
I would love to see your journal in person, Brian. What I see is quite wonderful and I admire your willingness to work so large. I hope you show us more.
I like seeing what you look like. We bloggers should do more of that. We reveal our art and our thoughts but often don't show our faces.
absolutely LOVELY!
Truly fabulous!
Hi Brian, Just stumbled onto your blog and have found such wonderful art. Good to see 'a man who crafts'

Biran - so cool to see your face! And glowing with happiness! AMAZING journal! LOVE seeing the scale - it's massive. Fab work! Looks like it was such a great time, and sounds like it was such a great journey.
aaaaa. meant BRIAN.
*smacks head for typing too fast*
I finally got you listed, now I can follow your antics. I love these journals. Once you go big, it'll be hard to go smaller. I am a BIG fan of BIG when it comes to art journals or altered books.
You are very talented. It's good to put a face with a name.
As for your nature collaboration, I was as impressed with the before paint shot as I was afterward.
Wowzaa!! Brian I had no idea that journal was so huge. When you showed your art page I really thought it was a normal size moleskine. I am so impressed :-) Great art, matey!!
Awesome!! You got the pictures up!! :D It is indeed such a wonderful class!! Can't wait to see how this piece has evolved since last week! :D
Beautiful journal pages.x
You all look like you had such a fun and creative time. And your journal is looking great. Pretty cool that it is oversized.
Looks like you had a great time! Your journal pages are terrific!
Wishing you tons of creativity and unending art filled ideas!

I'm so jealous! I wish I had een there. I don't have an single friend who does art journaling, and I think it would be so much fun (and inspiring) to do this with friends. I came over to your blog from Flickr because I wanted to read about your pages, and you blog is fabulous. I'm going to have to look into getting a large moleskin journal. Can you tell me where you found yours?
whooooa - LOVE that hayuuuuuuge Moleskine! Congrats on winning Michelle Ward's prize draw by the way, I'm glad you did as it brought me here to your blog which I have never seen before.
I LOVE your posts! Love your art! I would love to follow you but there is no way to follow by email -- like with feedburner -- I need to either go check a gmail address or jump through to something google wants me to do.
